I haven’t read a lot of them since I submitted them and OH BOY are some of them stinkers. But I really like one of the essays I wrote for Tufts, which is the university I ended up choosing. So what the heck, I’ll share it on here. I’m actually kind of proud of it. The topic was “Celebrate Your Nerdy Side”. Basically it’s about my experience with narrative and writing across all media, including video games.
I got my 4 GB memory stick for my PSP today, so I can actually put PSN games on my PSP now. I want to get a new game for my trip over spring break. I was thinking maybe one of the ps1 classics like FFVII. Any suggestions?

Of course one game is a 90+ hour RPG epic where troubled teenagers with abandonment and self-worth issues shoot themselves in the head with a gun-like device to use incarnations of their souls to save the world from an ancient time goddess who will eliminate the world of all intelligent life and one is a casual iPad game where you buy cute clothes and your boyfriend ups your street cred. But hey, minor details.
The main thing is now we have something in common.
